What is Zapier?

Zapier is a service that allows you to connect two or more web applications together. These connections, or “Zaps”, allow you to automatically share data between the 5000+ apps integrated into the Zapier platform. 4aGoodCause is one of those apps. 

How you can use Zapier with 4aGoodCause

You can use Zapier to create Zaps that automatically post new donations or new registrations from 4aGoodCause to other web applications or programs you use. You do not need to write any code to create these Zaps. Zapier is set up to be used by non-technical users.

There are endless ways to take advantage of our Zapier integration. Here a just a few example Zaps you might set up with 4aGoodCause:

  • Subscribe donors to your email newsletter by automatically posting donor information to email marketing software such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor.
  • Skip the import/export by automatically posting data to donor databases such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamic CRM.
  • Post new transactions to QuickBooks and other accounting software automatically.
  • Mail handwritten cards to thank new donors with apps such as Handwrytten or Thankful.
  • Create custom text or email alerts based on donation amount or other criteria.
  • Automatically post messages on social media as new donations occur.
  • And much more!

How to get started

Start automating your workflows in just a few minutes! Follow these steps to connect your 4aGoodCause account to Zapier and make your first Zap.

  1. Login to https://4agc.com as a Nonprofit User.
  2. Click on Settings on the left menu.
  3. Click on Integrations on the left menu.
  4. Click the Zapier integration.
  5. Check the box labeled Enable Zapier integration.
  6. Click Save.  
  7. Your account is now ready to talk to Zapier. It not yet sending any data. To do that you must create your first Zap.
  8. Click on the Make a Zap link on the right. This will take you to Zapier where you can create your first Zap with 4aGoodCause.
  9. From this page, click to "Accept our invite", create an account on Zapier, or login of you already have an account.
  10. Follow the step-by-step process, as shown in our help video below, to create your Zap. 
  11. Please note: Our integration is an invitation-only integration. Once you accept our invitation you can search for 4aGoodCause from the Zapier dashboard.

How to disable the Zapier integration

If you want to disable or just pause the connection between 4aGoodCause and Zapier follow these steps. This will not delete your Zap but will pause data being sent from 4agoodCause to Zapier. 

  1. Login to https://4agc.com as a Nonprofit User.
  2. Click on Settings on the left menu.
  3. Click on Integrations on the left menu.
  4. Click the Zapier integration.
  5. Deselect the box labeled Enable Zapier integration.
  6. Click Save.
