What it is
You can connect your 4aGoodCause account to an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT. Then you ask questions about your fundraising in plain English, and the assistant answers using your 4aGC data.
No exporting spreadsheets
No building reports
No digging through screens to find a number

What’s protected
Read-only. The assistant can look at your data but can’t change it. It can’t edit records, issue refunds, or send anything from 4aGC.
Admins only. Only account admins can connect an AI assistant.
Contact details stay hidden. The assistant sees masked email addresses and never sees full emails, phone numbers, or mailing addresses.
Payment details are not shared. 4aGC does not store usable card numbers or other payment details, so your donor's financial information is not shared.
You can see who’s connected. Your account shows which users have connected an AI assistant and which tool they’re using.
You stay in control. You can revoke access for any user or turn off AI connections for your whole account at any time.
What you can ask
You can ask any question about the data your assistant can read. If the answer is in your 4aGC account, your assistant can find it. You don’t need special wording or commands. Ask the way you’d ask a coworker.
A few examples to get you started:
“Which donors gave last year but haven’t given yet this year?”
“Which monthly donors had a failed payment or have a card that’s about to expire?”
“How much did our gala raise from donations compared to ticket sales?”
“Who are our top five peer-to-peer fundraisers, and who’s close to their goal?”
“Who was our top donor this year? Draft a thank-you letter to them.”
“Summarize our fundraising this quarter for the board.”
How it works
The connection uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants connect securely to other software. You don’t need to know anything about it to use it. Setup takes a few minutes.
Turn on AI assistant connections
Before anyone on your team can connect an AI assistant, an account admin needs to allow AI connections for your account. You only need to do this once.
Log in to https://4agc.com as a Nonprofit User.
Click Settings on the left menu.
Click Integrations.
Click AI Assistants.
Check Allow AI assistants to connect.
Click Save.
When you save, every admin on your account gets an email letting them know AI assistant connections are turned on. This is a security feature, so everyone who manages your account knows the change was made. If an admin didn’t expect the email, they should check with the rest of your team.
Once AI connections are turned on, you’re ready to connect your assistant.
Follow the steps for the one you use:
Turn off AI assistant connections
Turning off AI connections disconnects every AI assistant from your account at once. No one on your team will be able to use an AI assistant with your 4aGC data until an admin turns connections back on.
Log in to https://4agc.com as an account admin.
Click Settings on the left menu.
Click Integrations.
Click AI Assistants.
Uncheck Allow AI assistants to connect.
Click Save.
When you save, every admin on your account gets an email letting them know AI assistant connections are turned off.
Revoke a user’s AI assistant connection
If you only need to disconnect one person, you can revoke their connection without affecting anyone else on your team.
Log in to https://4agc.com as an account admin.
Click Settings on the left menu.
Click Integrations.
Click AI Assistants.
Find the user in the list of connected users. The list shows each user and the AI assistant they’re using.
Click Revoke next to their name.
Their AI assistant immediately loses access to your 4aGC data. Every admin on your account gets an email letting them know the connection was revoked.
